Vacancy Announcement: Assistant Secretary II (District Secretary) at Ghana National Association of Teachers

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the understated position in the Ghana National Association of Teachers:



The Applicant:-

a. Must have a minimum of first degree from a recognised university

b. Must be a committed member of GNAT who believes in what GNAT stands for

c. Must be a GNAT member in good standing

d. Must be a Professional Teacher not below the rank of Principal Superintendent with not less than four (4) years of working experience on the bank

e. Must not be below 35 and not more than 45 years

f. Must have a working knowledge in basic computer applications in Word, Excel, and Power Point is an added advantage.


a. Recruits and mobilises members for the association in the district

b. Manages and administers the District Secretariat

c. Facilitates Professional and Trade Union Education among members in the district

d. Mobilises members for non-bargaining activities Offers Technical Advice to the District Officers, Executive and Council

e. Offers Technical Advice to the District Officers, Executive and Council

f. Handles personal cases of Teachers

g. Liaises with governmental and non-governmental organisations in district.

h. Writes Termly and Annual Reports to headquarters through the Region

i. Collates and analyses educational statistics in the district

J. Prepares monthly financial returns to headquarters through the region

k. Keeps records and minutes of meetings of district political organs of GNAT

1. Serves on the G.E.S. District Disciplinary Committee and other relevant Committees

m. Performs any other duty assigned by the General Secretary, the Regional Secretary, the District Delegate Conference, District Council, District Executive and District Officers.

i. Qualified applicants should go to from Thursday, 2nd May, 2024 to complete an application form

Last promotion letter
