Revocation of Appointments and Recruitment of Teaching and Non-Teaching Staffs.
Many concerns were raised on issues of late appointment and recruitment made by the previous government before leaving office, Others were of the view that, those appointments and recruitments made should be revoked since it was done in 2017 after the previous government took power, On the other hand others also suggests that since they are Ghanaians their appointments should be maintained, if it should be a pathway, it will become a national canker which most citizens will bear the severity of this pending subject.
Upon all the back and forth on this appointments brouhaha, this is what Ghana Education Service under the ministry of Education got to say;
Pursuant to the letter dated 10th February, 2025 with reference No. SCR/DA/85/85/01/A on the above subject matter from the office of the President. I wish to inform you that all recruitment of Teaching and Non-Teaching staff who have not been placed on the payroll yet, have been revoked with immediate effect in accordance with the Chief of Staff’s directive.
All Regional and District/Municipal/Metropolitan Directors are to ensure that this directive is strictly adhered to.
You would be notified of any further directive concerning this issue as and when necessary.
The unfortunate part is, some innocent Ghanaian citizens who have strive for appointment over the years would punished on this subject for no wrong done.
