Fair Wages and Salaries Commission Engages Government in 2025 Salary Negotiations

The meeting has been rescheduled to February 19, 2025, as the national budget is set to be presented in March. A consensus is expected to be reached on the new date.

Meanwhile, misleading information and speculative salary figures are circulating on social media. The public is advised to disregard such claims, as official updates will be provided once negotiations are concluded.

This year’s salary negotiations have been conducted with limited public disclosure for reasons known to the stakeholders. However, labor unions are urged to stand firm in securing a fair percentage, especially given last year’s unfulfilled 23% + 2% adjustment and the impact of inflation.

A formal update will be shared with the public once all agreements are finalized.
